Top Ten Tuesday (#2)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's topic is: Top Ten Authors I Would LOVE to Meet (living or dead)

1. JK Rowling- Author of the Harry Potter series. My all-time favorite books in the history of forever. I would love to meet the highly imaginative brain behind this beloved series and thank her for her magic words.
I love these books like Whoa.Harry Potter Boxset (Harry Potter, #1-7)

2. H.P. Mallory-She has quickly become one of my newest favorite authors. I LOVE her Jolie Wilkins series, which is fun, sexy, hilarious and supernatural. Her Dulcie O'Neil series is also great. Would LOVE to meet her!Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble (Jolie Wilkins, #1)Toil and Trouble (Jolie Wilkin...

3. Maggie Stiefvater-I have loved every book I've read of hers thus far, the Wolves of Mercy Falls Series, and Lament and Ballad..plus what I've gleaned through her blog and other places she seems like a cool chick.Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception (Books of Faerie, #1)Ballad: A Gathering of Faerie (Books of Faerie, #2)

4. William Shakespeare-Even though I don't really read his stuff voluntarily, and would prefer to watch Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio rather than read the play...he is a bit of a genius.William Shakespeare

5. Sarah Dessen-If you've read any of her books you know why. Love her stuff. Just Listen

6. Neil Gaiman- For the fact that he wrote The Graveyard Book. The Graveyard Book

7. Whoever contributed to the writings of the Bible..yes ALL of them.Holy Bible: New International...

8. Suzanne Collins-The Hunger Games series is dystopian done right. The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxse...

9. Stephenie Meyer-This may produce some eye rolls. No one can taint the love I have for the Twilight series and its characters, including my beloved Edward. Yeah that's right. TEAM EDWARD!Twilight (Twilight, #1)

10. Dr. Seuss-I don't think an explanation is needed for this one. Green Eggs and Ham (Beginner Books)

So there's my list. I've never met ANY authors, so meeting any of the ones who are responsible for feeding my reading addiction, even if they aren't on this brief list, would be awesome!

  1. Oh man, I forgot Shakespeare on my list. I agree though I don't normally read his stuff willing.

And I need to read Sarah Dessen. I have been hearing really good things about her books on the blog world.

I can't believe I forgot to put Dr. Suess on my list. And dont't worry I wouldn't fault you for Stephenie Meyer being on your list...well maybe for being Team Edward. hahaha jk, he is pretty dreamy in the books. :)

  3. 1. "I love these books like Whoa." -I love that! I haven't read all of the HP series yet, but I'm starting over from scratch soon, along with my hubby and two of my kids. So we're about to become a HP family. I'm already nuts about these from the 4 1/2 I have read, so I'm pretty excited.
    2. I just finished Shiver by M. Stiefvater last night and was so sad I didn't have Linger here to start right away! I don't really usually love wolves, but I really thought this book was done beautifully.
    3. I'm embarrassed that I've not read S. Dessen, especially since she is from NC. Shame on me. I plan to very soon.
    4. The Graveyard Book. One of the best books ever, I'd say, from start to finish. And with pictures. Brilliant. I want to read more Gaiman.
    5. And yes, the Bible. You're right about that one. Particularly, for me, the New Testament.

    GREAT list. Much fun.
